BALFIN is open to young talent: Samir Mane at the Polytechnic University of Tirana
This Monday, the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Polytechnic University of Tirana welcomed President Samir Mane for an inspiring session with students. A former student of the university himself, Mane shared his personal journey as an entrepreneur and the vision that has guided BALFIN Group’s growth across Albania and beyond.
Accompanied by Erion Avram, Executive Director of BALFIN Development, Mane presented some of the Group’s landmark projects, including Tirana East Gate (TEG) and Univers Shopping Center (QTU). Avram highlighted how these strategic developments have transformed their surrounding areas, boosted economic potential, and delivered tangible benefits to local communities.
“TEG, now the largest shopping center in Albania, has turned Lundra from a peripheral zone into one of the most desirable locations in the capital for living, business, and services,” Avram explained.

Mane emphasized that BALFIN projects are more than infrastructure investments; they create both economic and social impact, at the local and national levels. “After the opening of TEG, over €1.2 billion in additional investments have flowed into the area from business, commercial, and residential entities,” he noted.
The discussion also focused on opportunities for students to collaborate with BALFIN or explore professional paths within the Group, both in Albania and abroad. “BALFIN is open to young talent. We encourage students to contribute from the earliest stages of project development, bringing their ideas and creativity to initiatives that shape the country’s future,” Mane stated.
Students actively engaged with the team, exploring topics such as urban development, contemporary architecture, and sustainable growth. The session highlighted how BALFIN’s projects not only reshape the landscape but also foster innovation and offer learning opportunities for the next generation of professionals.
Events like this demonstrate BALFIN’s commitment to nurturing talent, promoting professional growth, and ensuring that our projects create lasting impact for both communities and the individuals who will lead the country’s future development.
