Eco Schools: Tirana Bank invests in a more sustainable future
Tirana Bank, in partnership with Mane Foundation and Save the Children Albania, has launched another important initiative in support of education and environmental protection. The new project, “Eco Schools,” launched at the “Rilindja” school in Vlora, aims to inspire the younger generation for a more sustainable future and raise community awareness about the importance of environmental protection.
During the presentation of the project, the children of the Ecological Club, teachers, school leaders, and representatives of partner institutions were introduced to the main objectives and activities of this initiative. The Director of the Vlora Branch of Tirana Bank, Ms. Klodjana Aliraj, emphasized in her speech that:
“Investment in education is the foundation for building stronger communities to raise awareness about environmental issues. This project is a significant step toward achieving this goal.”
Meanwhile, Ms. Anila Meço, Director of Save the Children in Albania, stated:
“Eco Schools” not only engage children in concrete actions for environmental protection but also serve as platforms for involving the entire community in such vital issues.”
As part of this initiative, the children of the Ecological Club learned and practiced using equipment to measure air quality, gaining practical knowledge about the impact of pollution on health and the environment. These activities help them understand the importance of measurements for improving the quality of life and encourage them to act as catalysts for change in their families and communities.
This project aims to create a conscious, engaged generation equipped with knowledge to positively impact the daily lives of their communities. Through this initiative, Tirana Bank continues to confirm its commitment to sustainable development by investing in children’s education, which is the guarantee of a better future for both society and our environment.
