Grab a friend and discover ‘Mediterranea’ Exhibition at GOCAT Gallery

The opening of the much-anticipated “Mediterranea – The Visions of an Ancient and Complex Sea” exhibition at GOCAT Gallery in Tirana was nothing short of spectacular. The exhibition, a collaboration between the Mane Foundation and the Italian Institute of Culture, offers a multi-dimensional journey into the history, beauty, and myths of the Mediterranean. Visitors are treated to a fascinating mix of space images, ancient artworks, and interactive installations.

At the opening ceremony, Samir Mane, the founder of the Mane Foundation, spoke about the gallery’s role in supporting the arts and providing artists with the opportunity to showcase their work.  GOCAT Gallery is a space where art and culture can thrive without boundaries,” he remarked, emphasizing the foundation’s commitment to promoting high-quality art and supporting artists in their endeavors.

Italian Ambassador to Albania, Marco Alberti, also praised the collaboration between the Mane Foundation and the Italian Institute of Culture, acknowledging their efforts in enriching Albania’s cultural life. He thanked Samir Mane for his dedication to art and the opportunity GOCAT Gallery provides for artists and the public alike.

Space for Culture and Art

“Mediterranea” exhibition, which will be open for the public until March 31st at GoCat Gallery, offers a rare opportunity to experience not only the history and mythology of the Mediterranean but also the deep cultural connections that have shaped a shared and rich identity across the region. The exhibition showcases works from space agencies and ancient art, blending them into a cohesive narrative that highlights the unity and heritage of the Mediterranean.

A Mediterranean Tour: From Valencia to Tirana

Before arriving in Tirana, the “Mediterranea” exhibition had already been showcased in Valencia, Spain, and traveled across the Mediterranean. Tirana serves as the final stop before the exhibition returns to Rome.
