Neptun and B4Students played a key role in supporting the Faculty of Economics’ recent event, “Young Innovators.” This initiative aimed to identify and nurture innovative ideas from students enrolled in the Innovation course. The event took the form of a “demo day,” where students showcased their projects in front of a distinguished jury composed of industry professionals, including representatives from Neptun.
This year, Neptun’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) focuses on innovation and technology, making the partnership with the Faculty of Economics a natural fit. This role allowed the company to engage directly with students, offering valuable feedback to help align their ideas with industry needs and identifying talents who could potentially join Neptun in the future.
Neptun rewarded the second-place winning team with Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 devices for each member. Additionally, a special prize of the same smart watches was awarded to a female duo who presented the innovative “Smartbin” project, a smart waste management solution.
The grand prize went to the team behind “Mozaiku i Mendjes,” an application designed to offer exercises and activities tailored for children with Down syndrome.
Marina Llambro, Neptun’s Marketing Manager and jury member, described the experience as highly rewarding. “It was impressive to witness the creativity, dedication, and professionalism of the students. Each project was accompanied by well-prepared prototypes, financial plans for the first three years, and detailed marketing and communication strategies. Interacting with such young innovators offers valuable insight into how they envision the future.
In total, 13 diverse projects were presented, spanning fields such as tourism, environmental protection, technology, entertainment, and culinary arts. The event showcased the vibrant potential of young innovators and underscored the importance of supporting them to transform their ideas into reality.
This is not the first time that BALFIN Group companies, through B4Students, have supported and empowered student initiatives. Their ongoing commitment helps nurture young talent and drive innovation across various fields.
